I've been with the Mower County Employees Credit Union since 2025, yet been a member for over 13 years. What has always drawn me to credit unions - especially ours - is the genuine care and respect shown to every member. I take pride in knowing our members by name, providing consistent and exceptional service, building trust, creating meaningful connections, and staying involved in our community. I aim to create memorable "wow" moments that truly make a difference. Giving back to the community is deeply rewarding, and this credit union truly feels like one big family - members and staff working together and supporting one another. Before joining the credit union, I worked as a preschool teacher, a role I loved and one that taught me many valuable skills I continue to use today. Skills such as communication, patience, empathy, relationship building, problem-solving, quick thinking, attention to detail, organization, time management, and community engagement all translate directly into the work I do supporting members. I find it incredibly rewarding to make a positive impact, build meaningful relationships, and help people reach their goals.

Member Service Representative

With years of experience in member-service roles, this position marks Jysel’s first opportunity in a financial environment. Joining Mower County Employees Credit Union in April 2024 was her introduction to the financial world, and it has been an incredible experience. She began as a teller, where she quickly saw the unwavering commitment the credit union has to its members - and soon realized she shared that same dedication. Motivated to make a deeper impact, Jysel transitioned into her current role as a Member Service Representative. She is driven by a genuine desire to support members in achieving their financial goals. Developing her own financial knowledge has long been a personal goal, and being able to use that knowledge to guide and empower members makes her work deeply meaningful and rewarding.​​​

The Mower County Employees Credit Union was charted in 1961 as an exclusive benefit for employees of Mower County and their families. As a cooperative, owned entirely by our members, earnings are returned in the form of better rates, fewer fees and exceptional service. We envision our credit union to become our members' primary financial institution. Our team works hard to improve members’ savings; help them invest in their homes, businesses, and education; and secure a stronger future. ​​​​

With over 26 years of experience in the financial industry and more than 13 years of dedicated service at Mower County Employees Credit Union, Stephanie brings a depth of knowledge and a genuine passion for helping members that few can match. A proud Mower County native, she began her career right here in our community, as a part-time teller and has worked in nearly every department - from lending and operations to member services and leadership - gaining hands-on experience in all facets of banking and credit union operations. This comprehensive background allows Stephanie to understand members' needs from every angle, whether they're opening their first account, buying a home, planning for retirement, or growing a business. Her longtime commitment to the credit union and the community reflects an unwavering dedication to delivering personalized, trustworthy service that puts members first - every single day.
